Alpentreff was born from a simple passion: for the mountains, the quiet of the alpine pastures and the animals that live there. Here we collect what we wanted to know ourselves before setting off, honestly, thoroughly and without glossy promises.
What we stand for
The Alps are vast, and the web is full of superficial lists. We do it differently: every excursion spot, every mountain and every gear recommendation is based on careful research, the cross-checking of reliable sources and, wherever possible, our own experience on site. We name strengths and weaknesses, because only then is a recommendation worth anything.
How we work
- Research first. We check facts, compare data and update our content regularly.
- Honest assessments. For gear we weigh pros and cons instead of praising everything.
- Transparency. Where we earn through advertising or affiliate links, we mark it clearly with “Advertising”. That does not change our assessment.
- Respect for nature. Especially with wildlife watching: keep your distance, do not disturb, respect trails and protected areas.
Who is behind it
Behind Alpentreff there is no anonymous open-plan office, but genuine interest in the Alps that has grown over the years , on tours, by the water and with binoculars on the slope. We deliberately do without a marketing face and focus on what really matters: transparent research, named sources, honest assessments with strengths and weaknesses, and recommendations we would use ourselves. Anyone with a question or who spots an error can reach us directly at info@alpentreff.de , we reply personally.
